Come join one of the premier travel ball organizations in the Southeast. Based in Birmingham, AL, The Right Way Baseball fields some of the top-ranked teams in the country.

Since opening in 2018, The Right Way Baseball has gained national recognition for their consistent success. The 2023 10U team finished #6 in the Perfect Game national rankings, while the 11U squad earned the #14 spot, and 9U team also earned the #24 spot. Also, numerous players were nationally ranked by the Perfect Game Organization, and many players were selected to join the Perfect Game National All State Games this past summer.

The Right Way Baseball offers elite competition, coaching, and exposure opportunities year-round. In addition to our nationally competitive spring and fall travel teams, we provide winter training, private lessons, and showcases. Highly-skilled instructors and coaches help players hone their abilities against the best competition from across the Southeast and beyond. 

State-of-the-art facilities in Birmingham, AL include indoor batting cages, pitching mounds, and a professional-level turfed facility - all available for player development 365 days a year.

Team Fees Include the Following

  • Tournament Fees (Specific number of tournaments depend on age group)

  • Use of The Right Way Baseball Facility (Cages & Fields, year round, upon availability, during business hours)

  • Winter Workout Program (6 team baseball/performance training sessions during November & December)

  • Spring Practices (2 team practices per week during January - June)

 

Additional Cost: Team uniforms are not included, as players will purchase packages directly through Marucci Sports. Team uniform packages are approximately $400. ​​​​​​​​

  • Can I pay an amount other than the set installment amount?
    Yes, you can make a payment adjustment to pay a different amount than the set installment amount by contacting your team coordinator. You will not be able to make this adjustment from your member account.
  • Does the commitment fee have to be paid before uniforms can be ordered?
    A non-refundable commitment fee of $150 is required to secure your player’s spot on the roster. The commitment fee is required before uniforms can be ordered.
  • When is the deadline to pay Spring fees?
    The deadline to have all Spring fees paid is February 23, 2024.
  • How are payments deducted from my account?
    We offer a bi-weekly payment plan that deducts payments in 4 equal installments every 2 weeks until your balance is paid in full.
  • When do deductions for spring fees begin?
    The balance due is the total spring fees amount minus the $150 non-refundable commitment fee. Once you have paid your commitment fee, the first date that you make a payment towards your spring fees balance determines the start date of your deductions. That will be the first payment date. The payment dates will then be every 2 weeks until your balance is paid in full.
  • How do I make payments for the spring fees?
    Payments are only accepted using The Right Way Baseball website member account. Payments will not be accepted using finance applications.
  • Is it required that the pants be ordered from Marucci?
    7U/8U/9U: Two pair of pants (white, gray) are included in the uniform bundle. 10U/11UAA/11UMAJ/12UAA/12UMAJ: Pants are not included in the uniform bundle; therefore, they will need to be purchased. It is not required that the pants be ordered from Marucci; however, the player will need a pair of white and a pair of gray pants.
  • What if my uniform was ordered with the wrong size or number?
    There will be NO exchanges or refunds on any custom items; therefore, we encourage you to use the sizing kit to size your player prior to ordering uniforms. Also, please double check the player number prior to submitting your order.
  • Does the uniform bundle include all the items the player needs?
    7U/8U/9U: The uniform bundle includes 2 jerseys (red, blue), 2 hats (red, blue), 2 pairs of stirrups (red, blue), 2 pairs of short pants (white, gray) and a bat pack bag. 10U/11UAA/11UMAJ/12UAA/12UMAJ: The uniform bundle includes 3 jerseys (red, white, blue), 3 hats (red, white, blue), 2 pairs of stirrups (red, blue), and a bat pack bag.
  • When is the deadline to order uniforms?
    The deadline to order uniforms to ensure they are received prior to the first tournament is December 7, 2023. Uniforms will be purchased directly from Marucci Sports via the locker room on the The Right Way Baseball website.
  • Besides the bundle uniform package, are there any other items that are required to be purchased?
    All players will need a white helmet. All players will need a bat, fielding glove, and any other equipment necessary to practice and play in tournaments. These items, while sold in the Marucci locker room, are not required to be purchased from Marucci.
  • When will practices be held?
    Please contact the Manager, the head coach, or your team coordinator for a specific practice schedule.
  • What should be worn to practices?
    Players wear proper baseball attire, including shirt/jersey, baseball pants, belt, socks, appropriate footwear, etc. Players should dress as if they are playing in a game.
  • How many times per week will practices be held?
    Practices will be held twice a week.
  • Where will practices be held?
    Please contact the Manager, the head coach, or your team coordinator for a specific practice location.
  • What time should players arrive at the venue for a tournament?
    Players should arrive at the ballpark 75 minutes prior to game time fully dressed and ready to warm up.
  • When will game times be posted?
    Game times are typically posted on the tournament organization’s website on the Wednesday or Thursday the week of the tournament. The game times will also be posted in each team’s GroupMe.
  • What does bracket play mean?
    The outcome of the pool play games determine each team’s “seeding” going into the brackets.
  • How many tournaments will be played?
    The Right Way Baseball teams typically play at least 3-6 tournaments in the Fall and 8-12 tournaments in the Spring, depending on the age group.
  • Where can tournament rules be found?
    The tournament rules can be found on the tournament organization’s website.
  • Who decides the game times?
    The tournament directors determine the game times.
  • What does it mean when a tournament didn’t “make”?
    A tournament doesn’t “make” if the minimum number of teams, usually 3, do not register in that particular age group.
  • What does pool play mean?
    Tournaments begin with pool play, meaning that teams are guaranteed a minimum number of games before heading into single or double elimination, depending on the tournament.
